The UNTWIST project organised together with the ADAPT project a joint workshop on best practice of data sampling and management. Both EU projects, funded under the topic SFS-30-2019: Agri-Aqua Labs: Looking behind plant adaptation, are working with a collection of > 50 genotypes grown under different environmental conditions. The projects will thus generate large volumes of data and material and rely on extensive collaboration between partnering labs necessitating elaborated sample tracking and data management.
While UNTWIST aims to unravel the responses of camelina to heat and drought stress, ADAPT works on heat and water stress on potato. In a video conference on 26th April 2021, the project partners of UNTWIST and ADAPT discussed sampling strategies, sample transfer and data management and exchanged practical tips to optimize the outcome and maximize the impact of the intended research/planned experiments.
